It provides a unique environmental barrier and is perfect for all types of livestock. Guardian Ultra’s ground breaking formulation includes a thick BLUE dye which sticks to the hooves. This enables you to see the coverage on the hoof.
For the best results it is always advisable to spot treat any lame animals with a trigger spray at a dilution rate of 10:1 prior to putting through the footbath. You can also make up a solution at 10:1 and hold the foot for 30 seconds in a bucket, this gives the hoof a really good soak and will kill the infection within a matter of days. Once the hooves are in better condition it is advisable to footbath them once or twice a week to keep the hooves in really good condition and to prevent any further outbreaks.
A recommended dilution of 50:1 of Guardian Ultra and tap water will be sufficient enough to make up the footbath. The solution of Guardian Ultra will stay active up to 14 days later or 50% soilage. It is always advisable to clean the hooves before application so if you can use a pre footbath with water it will help to keep the soilage down When spot treating it is advisable to use a dilution of 10:1 to act as a shock treatment. In its diluted form it is 100% safe and as green as the colour!
